Okay so I enjoy watching anime too much and reading Japanese comics. This character is based off of another character in a different game, namely an adult visual novel. The characters name Takuya Aihara reads as a single name but during the course of this visual novel the character changes gender from male to female. This happens through a failed science experiment also done by another of the characters that I'll show later.
Originally Aihara and Takuya were a female troll priest and a female draeneii shaman keeping with the difference of the character. Eventually i filled up all but the one character slot still used by my shaman just before Deathknights came out. When the time came i deleted Takuya's alliance half and turned her into a male tauren deathknight. Still trying to keep the difference by comparing a priest to a deathknight.
For those who may be interested in searching for some of my other characters or finding some older pet names feel free to visit: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/X-Change_(series)
for those who feel a little creeped out about the whole character thing feel free to tell me I'll probably get around to changing the names.
Having left the game for 3 years my gaming picked up again when i started lanning in rl with friends playing games like counter strike and such. I thought id pickup on my account again and see how well I went. What can i say I felt good to get out of the fps and strategy gaming and back into mmoprgs. Noting that the first thing i noticed was that i was unguilded which again people could probably tell me now it was bound to happen. Being inquisitive i asked an officer of the guild i had been removed from and was told promptly they were an end game guild now and had no space for low levels. Seeing as I didn't know what an end game guild was yet i decided to let it go and continue leveling on my own still at the same slow pace and requesting pugs here and there.
This also brought about my first repsec, I had lost the ideals of how to play a marksman hunter. I didn't want to pick a beast master at the time since they didn't seem to pick up a good reputation amongst other players so i went survival. This was pre-BC survival however and although no one really liked it back then i found it rather nice instead of running around trying not to get hit i had skills that allowed me to continue fighting in close combat. Many people thought me odd playing a hunter and running into close combat, many saying I should give up on my hunter and go into playing a warrior or a rogue. But as some might have guessed I didn't.
Not long after I joined my new guild i managed to get my professions in order (level 32 -_-). Originally picking Skinning and Leatherworking as my two major choices. My Guild Master also saw fit to start with some officers, unfortunately he picked officers that could beat him in a duel. Being about 4 levels higher than him i thought i had a sporting chance, so I dueled another player for the first time and smashed him up pretty badly as did another guildie who thought he had a chance (noting they were both rogues at the time). So now the guild had a GM and 2 officers, with about 5 everyday players.
Now since this was back in the day before pets were normalized i was keen on getting a few rares or elites as pets. So I was ever changing pets with better ones. Since i cant remember most of them I cant give you details on their names and origins. My scorpid was the most permanent one tho and ran with me until i got to around level 36.
Anyway back to guild, eventually our guild master disappeared leaving me and my companion back then alone to control a guild that had built up a little since it had started. I was nominated "leader" in Blakmagic's stead and tried to lead as best i could. Eventually I gave up my leadership skills weren't enough to sustain the guild and I "disbanded" it. Looking for another guild that would take us in and give us the continued rights that we had in the guild was the goal which as people could probably tell me now failed miserably. The second officer decided to leave since they would not promote him and i lost love for the game and left my account to gather dust.
Well what can i say WoW was the first mmorpg that i had ever played. Didn't know much about it only learned of the classes from the starting selection screen and picked my race that seemed to go well with it. The name was the hard part knowing full well that should i put my original username into WoW that it would be rejected or already selected. Which unfortunately it was so i went with a slightly different name that would make it sound better. Being a fan of old games past such as Sonic the Hedgehog games, I decided to add "Metal". Being that my original username turned from "living" flesh and blood into a soulless, mindless machine seemed to make it that much better.
Anyway after finally making a character i set out from the newb zone and into the world guildless, friendless and with no idea what to expect. I learned as a moved on through Durotar acquiring new skills and finding the local population less than helpful. Taming my first pet which happens to be a scorpid, and my first start on talents starting out as a marksman hunter. Eventually finding my way into groups getting pug runs in rfc and wc, learning my first mistake in wc as i looted a chest without rolling and getting kicked out of my first group for looting an 8 slot bag.
After a while longer i managed to get recruited into a guild called "DaRk ArTs" which unfortunately no longer exists in the game. Under a Guild Master called Blakmagic i continued to level and ask for groups for runs that i had never been on before without much success. So i continued to level on ever so slowly.
